With so many dangers and hazards on construction sites, risk assessments and safety controls are essential for keeping workers safe. Construction health and safety is at the heart of HGT Construction’s training and operations, and everyone involved in the HGT Construction process is encouraged to complete health and safety assessments related to their work activities before beginning work on construction sites.

Our management and staff are trained and qualified as detailed below

SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme

The SMSTS course offered by the CITB is one of the most robust and highly respected qualifications for persons who are responsible for the management of construction activities.

SSSTS – Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme

This two-day course introduces site supervisors to their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. This course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.

CSCS – Construction Skills Certification Scheme

Our site operatives hold the relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualification card suited to their skills and ability.

HGT Construction Limited is accredited to the following organisations

Supported by the HSE SSIP aims to streamline prequalification and encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its Member Schemes. SSIP is actively reducing health and safety assessment costs

Acclaim Accreditation is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement, which seeks to eliminate the need for suppliers to join different health and safety accreditations for different buyers. So by joining Acclaim Accreditation, you can reassure clients that you’ve met stage one health and safety requirements – something now mandated by a large proportion of buyers.

Federation of Master Builders

The FMB provides in the domestic building industry provides clients with a warranty of quality building standards and has been operating for 75 years, the not-for-profit Federation of Master Builders has championed continuous improvement in building standards and they independently inspect and vet members to provide credible proof of their quality.
